My Inspiration:
My biggest Inspiration is my firstborn. I am a mother of one beautiful little girl. I have
a strong background with children as I am the eldest of many siblings and started
baby sitting for family and family friends. I have been in the industry since 2016 and
have had many different roles within this industry. I completed my Diploma of
Early Childhood Education and Care in 2018. I am inspired to be the best educator, to grow
and learn alongside the children everyday, while nurturing, caring and assisting each
and every child in my care. I have a love for nature and natural elements as well as
risky play.
My Interests:
I love helping others and socialising with family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors
and in nature. I have always loved animals and plants.. I am very adventurous and I
like to try new things and go new places. I also like to spend my down time at home
cooking, gardening, watching movies and television, or being creative e.g. DIY projects
and arts and crafts.
Statement of Philosophy
I believe in providing a fun, inviting, positive and simulating place space for the children to explore daily and to support, promote and encourage each child’s love of learning. I believe that children should be given choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning. I believe as an Educator of the rights of children. I have a strong passion to provide the best quality care possible and ensure that each child in my care feels heard, included, safe, nurtured, secure, and supported. I also understand the importance in building strong and meaningful relationship with each individual, their family.
I believe in cultural diversity. I will celebrates the benefits of diversity with each individual child and enable them to understand and acknowledge and celebrate differences. I believe that each child is unique, I will develop each child’s strengths, interests, skills, abilities, and knowledge. I believe in the importance of extending on each child’s interests. As well as exploration and extending on the learning in the room and reflecting our leaning with the world around us. I also believe in the importance of encouraging the children’s learning development as well as self help skills and self regulation. I believe that children learn through play. I will provides opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine.
I link the program and experiences, including all observations to the Early Years Learning Framework, 8 Indigenous Ways of Learning, National Quality Framework / National Quality Standards and theorists. I believe in the importance of personal professional development in different areas that relate to our practices in Early Years Education. I believe in the importance of Educator involvement in role modelling behaviours in different learning environments. During Learning Experiences, I prefer to interact with children at the child’s level and being involved in the experience alongside them as a peer. Supporting and watching young people learn, grow and find their own personality is the biggest reward and is a big reason as to why I love my job as a Educator.
