Hippo Room Birth – 12 months

Our Hippos room is our nursery and home to our youngest children. This room can cater to children as young as six (6) weeks old. It is a space designed to provide a warm and age appropriate environment, stocked with appropriate resources. The Hippos room has its own dedicated bottle preparation space, nappy changing area with CCTV to provide continual lines of sight and enhance supervision. It also contains a dedicated cot room with space for all children to have their own cot in a quiet, calm environment conducive to sleep and relaxation.
The Hippos room also has access to its own dedicated outside play space, which is level, flat, fully fenced and covered by Sunsafe shade sails to provide a pleasant space for play at any time of the day.

Monkey Room 15m – 2 .5 yrs

Our Monkeys room is one of our younger rooms catering to small toddlers. It has a bottle preparation space, a nappy changing area and dedicated cot room for those younger children who are more comfortable sleeping in a cot or are transitioning from the routine in the Hippos room. The room is fully stocked with appropriate toys and resources for the developmental stages of the children in the room.
We offer a variety of different activities and programs utilising art and craft experiences, music and movement, small and larger group times, one on one activities all of which are designed to foster gross and fine motor development and development of social and emotional skills.
The Monkeys room has its own private, full fenced and specially designed yard providing opportunities for various outdoor play experiences and is also able to be utilised for outside play in inclement weather and allows children to still experience the outdoors without being exposed to rainy or wet weather.

Elephant Room

Our Elephants room is a toddler age room catering to slightly older toddlers where the children are encouraged to foster their independence and self-help skills. The Elephants room is stocked with age appropriate toys, learning resources and activities to further develop their skills.
We offer a wide variety of activities and programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and using music and movement, small and larger group times, one on one activities which are all designed to strengthen and further develop the children’s gross and fine motor skills, social skills and emotional development.
The Elephants room has access to a wonderful yard with hard, soft, level and undulating services including artificial turf, sandstone blocks, softfall, natural tan bark and garden beds, a bike track and our all new water play park.

Zebra Room 2 – 3 yrs

Our Zebras room is another toddler age room catering to slightly older toddlers where the children are encouraged to foster their independence and self-help skills. The Zebras room is stocked with age appropriate toys, learning resources and activities to further develop their skills.
We offer a wide variety of activities and programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and using music and movement, small and larger group times, one on one activities which are all designed to strengthen and further develop the children’s gross and fine motor skills, social skills and emotional development. Children in this age group are entering early learning stages with colours, letters and numbers to build the foundations for more structured learning in older age groups.
The Zebras room has access to a wonderful yard with hard, soft, level and undulating services including artificial turf, sandstone blocks, softfall, natural tan bark and garden beds, a bike track and our all new water play park.

Tiger Room 3 – 4 yrs

The Tigers room is our pre-Kindy room where children’s independence is encouraged and nurtured. Children take increasing responsibility for their own routines, including making their own beds, keeping track of their own belongings and feeding themselves. We offer a wide variety of activities and programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and using music and movement, small and larger group times, one on one activities which are all designed to strengthen and further develop the children’s gross and fine motor skills, social skills and emotional development. Children in this age group are beginning to take part in more structured learning activities and participating in small and large group times where the children are encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas and interests with the group. This sets them in good stead for the move into our approved Kindergarten program and for their entry into Prep.
The Tigers room has access to an interactive whiteboard which enhances the children’s learning and their use of technology in their learning.
The Tigers children have access to two separate yards to provide an unlimited number of outdoor play activities and options. Children’s gross motor skills are fostered and encouraged as is shared learning experiences with other rooms.

Giraffe Room 4 +

Our Giraffes room is the home of our approved Kindergarten program.
The program in the Giraffes room is based on the children’s individual development derived from observations and the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to make their own choices and be independent. This includes children writing their own name on their artwork, getting their own drinks, taking care of their belonging, dressing themselves and self-selecting their own art supplies and paints from the art and collage trolley. The program is based on getting the children ready for school. The goals and interests of the children are then adapted into a daily/weekly program that is set to the learning outcomes outlined under the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.

The Giraffes room offers a program focussed on getting the children ready for school with the aim of achieving a number of Kindergarten outcomes including identity, connectedness, wellbeing, active learning and communication.
