Tiny Tiger Early Learning Centre
Our Philosophy
Our Educators are well qualified in the field of early childhood education and care and possess a variety of skills, knowledge, interests and experiences.
Unique
Our Centre aspires to be a unique one. At its core, Tiny Tiger Early Learning Centre is a Centre based on the theories of positive psychology. We undertake to provide children with the social, emotional skills to develop as confident learners, and to become children who aspire to make positive contributions to their community. These core theories guide our decision-making on every educational and operational aspect of the Centre.
Inclusion
Tiny Tiger Early Learning Centre embraces equity and inclusion. Our Educators come from diverse backgrounds and embrace different views, beliefs and values – reflective of our families and our local community. After all, it is these differences and diversity that enrich our lives and makes this world an amazing place.
Natural World
The natural world is becoming increasingly at risk and we work to inspire joy in, and respect for, the beauty and fragility of the earth by providing opportunities to practice sustainability and encourage exploration of the natural world.
Dynamic Curriculum
Our Centre aims to deliver a dynamic curriculum, in-line with current educational practices. We adhere to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Educators plan the curriculum in response to each child’s interest, learning styles, and personal experiences. We meet the children where they are and provide stimulating and challenging experiences that go beyond the walls of the classroom in order to create life-long learning.
Outcomes
Tiny Tiger Early Learning Centre is committed to quality outcomes for our children, their families and our Educators. We invite families to be an integral part of our Centre. Each family is the first teacher of each child and we respect their decisions, values, beliefs and cultural diversity.
The Future
Our children have access to experiences that reflect current thinking about teaching practices and principles. Our Educators receive regular professional development opportunities to ensure their ongoing learning on pedagogical practices and curriculum delivery is efficacious in shaping well-rounded little people and setting them up well for the future.e

What is the childcare subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy is provides higher levels of financial support to the families who earn the least, in order to make the process of returning to work less financially difficult. More importantly, this initiative gives your child an opportunity to take advantage of the benefits of an early childhood education. Family life is busy – in between juggling work and family life, there’s not a lot of time left to catch up on legislative changes, so we’ve outlined them for you.
The system is income and ‘activity-based’, giving families access to either 36, 72 or 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight, based on the hours of combined work, training or study undertaken.
How much will I get back?
Your CCS is calculated using three components:
- Your combined family income
- Your level of ‘activity’
- Your childcare provider’s hourly rate
The amount of subsidy you receive depends on your circumstances.
