Statement of Philosophy

I believe the best learning outcomes for children are achieved via play and free play activities, where a child explores their physical, social, and cultural environment and during the process, they achieve their developmental milestones in cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language skills in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

My favourite theorist is Jean Piaget because of his constructive theory. The key idea being that development occurs through interaction with the environment, where children construct their own knowledge independently and through active exploration of the environment, where the educator acts to facilitate, resource and observe.
