My Interests:

Travelling, bushwalking, doing crosswords and spending time with my family and friends.

Statement of Philosophy

As a teacher’s assistant I will maintain a positive outlook and I am always willing to get involved in all tasks working alongside the children.

I have a readiness to engage in messy or challenging activities and provide practical solutions and support, such as gathering resources and taking control of even the most difficult situations. I am highly valued by my peers.

I believe the classroom should be a safe and caring environment where children are free to speak their mind, blossom and grow without prejudice.

I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace the difference of others.

Every classroom has its own unique community: my role as a teacher’s assistant will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles.

I will use strategies and life skills to ensure our classroom environment will flourish, like the morning meetings, positive vs negative discipline, classroom tasks and problem-solving skills.

As a teacher’s assistant, attachment is at the centre of my care philosophy – ensuring all children are involved in all activities and daily lessons.

I am to become an extension of the children’s circle of trusted adults. Children will never forget how you make them feel.
